In the upcoming season, there are numerous events and activities to pass the time. If you are looking for holiday cheer, there are several places featuring light shows.
Available until January 7, “Fantasy in Lights” at Callaway Gardens has over eight million lights in a beautiful display of festivities. Located at Pine Mountain, entire families are welcome for overnight trips to fully experience the “Fantasy Of Lights”.
While “A Stone Mountain Christmas” is available until January 4, it can be experienced at a discount on Tacky Christmas Sweater Day, December 16, where wearing a tacky sweater will allow you experience a “Winter Wonderland” and breathtaking views at a lower price.
Available until January 1, “Holiday in Lights” at Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta features thousands of lights over 21 acres of land. The Park also has the only outdoor ice rink skating area in Atlanta.
“Magical Nights of Lights” at Lake Lanier Islands is wonderful for a day trip to walk through the seven mile Christmas lights display or you can partake in the numerous snow activities they offer.
Until January 7, The Atlanta Botanical Garden lights is a beautiful display where every plant is covered in bright lights.
Available until December 30, “Holiday Light Spectacular” is a drive-through Christmas show of lights complete with a carnival and Santa’s village at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA.
Tickets are still available for the upcoming Jingle Ball, December 16, where artists Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor, The Chainsmokers, Fifth Harmony, DNCE, Alessia Cara, Daya and Lukas Graham will perform at Philips Arena.
Market at Matilda’s is a colorful collection of artisan vendors open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10-4 PM at South Main Street, Alpharetta.
Until December 24, Atlanta’s first German Christkindl markets can be found at Atlantic Station along with ice skating and snowy walks through Central Park which is open until January 1.
Tickets are now on sale for the only Atlanta show of Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular tour on December 20 at 6 PM. Nationally acclaimed circus performers attempt daring stunts while a live orchestra symphony performs the greatest holiday classics.
